Nomi Naeem is a senior librarian at the Central Library (Society, Sciences and Technology division) of Brooklyn Public Library, where, in addition to reference, technology instruction, collection development and reader’s advisory, he has also been facilitating a philosophy discussion group for more than 10 years. With a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and master’s in information studies, he moved on to humanities and social sciences and is currently writing his final thesis on education for completing the requirements of master’s in liberal studies program at the Graduate Center, CUNY. Nomi is pursuing an interdisciplinary, cross-cultural and transpersonal understanding of human nature, human condition, and human potential and hopes to start a Pre-K to 12 school based on Human Rights, Positive Psychology, and Integral Education etc. He also completed the Integral Mentoring program (Sep 2010 to Jan 2013) from One Spirit Learning Alliance, New York. His other research interests include stages of cognitive, emotional, social and spiritual development, interspirituality, and the Great Books of East & West. He has been interested in interspirituality ever since he got introduced to the work of Ken Wilber, and in addition to having worked on this website, he has compiled an index of Wilber’s complete works. He plans to use the index for writing short essays on themes relevant to interspirituality.
