From Rev. Ed Geraty and the Universalus Community: A number of individuals have requested that we develop a way to offer our Community presentations and teaching to the larger internet audience. In response to those requests we are experimenting with audio/videoconferencing software. I am proud to announce our 1st teaching scheduled for next Saturday, Dec 1st at 5pm EST. This is a free event. Your only cost may be a long distance telephone fee. By completing the registration form below please join us for my teaching on “Vedanta and the Four Yogas: The teachings of Swami Vivekananda .. Namaste. Ed Geraty.

I wanted to say that what I appreciate about Ed’s work and Universalus Community is that it’s an actual model of what interspirituality looks like in/ and as an emerging community of praxis. The biggest question that comes up re: the vision of interspirituality is what it looks like in practice, particularly from the axis of WITHIN traditions, to ACROSS traditions, and in completely NEW settings. So, it’s all hypothetical until put into practice. So, this is a big contribution that Ed, and the other “Participating Communities” in OUnI (for instance) are making.
Thank you Kurt. I think our philosophy that all paths lead to One Source (Consciousness )greatly influences our ongoing effort to provide spiritual teachings and events that respond to the community members interests. For the first 2 years, I was facilitating all of the various events, now community members interested in a specific topic or path are facilitating that event. It certainly makes it easier for me! And now, we are offering our first Internet-based teaching this coming Saturday that will reach a wider audience. We now have 895 “friends” onour Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/UniversalusCommunity and using Meetup to schedule our events has been very successful http://www.meetup.com/Universalus-Community/ Namaste . Thank you for this Ed and Kurt. Learning about the work of the Universalus Community is a great inspiration to me. We are not alone! As this site develops, I am eager to hear about the work of many others too. I have a feeling that there is a lot more out there than we know about and that once we are all connected, sharing our stories, and forging collaborations, the “movement” can begin to grow.
